At Düsseldorf, there were 70 delays and 10 cancellations; Eurowings led delays with 20, and cancellations were attributed to HOP!, KLM and Cityjet. Hamburg registered 60 delays and four cancellations, all tied to KLM; Lufthansa and Eurowings each had 12 delays in Hamburg. Stuttgart logged 20 delays and six cancellations, with cancellations mainly involving KLM and HOP! and delays led by Eurowings. Nuremberg reported eight delays and five cancellations, with KLM prominent among the affected carriers.
Airline-wide, Lufthansa Group carriers faced significant disruption. Lufthansa reported over 180 delays, while Lufthansa Cityline added 43 delays and two cancellations. Eurowings registered 60 delays. KLM recorded 10 cancellations and seven delays, and HOP! reported 10 cancellations and two delays. Additional carriers impacted included easyJet (36 delays), Condor (13 delays and two cancellations), Air France (six delays and two cancellations) and British Airways (nine delays).
Authorities and observers identified Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin as the most affected in terms of volume. Düsseldorf and Stuttgart were highlighted for higher cancellation ratios relative to their traffic. Passengers were advised to use airline apps and booking platforms for real-time updates, arrive early where queues and rebooking demand were likely, consider nearby alternative airports for same-day travel options, and keep all relevant travel documents to support any claims under applicable passenger rights rules.
